1999 Accomplishments

Electric Storage Building and Water Tower:

For several years there has been a need for a water tower on the west side of Amherst to increase the water supply and the pressure to homes on the West Side. There was also a perceived need for a building to house materials needed by the electric department to store various equipment and supplies. Land for both purposes was obtained and construction began in 1999 to build a water Tower and storage facility and offices for the electric department.
